On Thursday, October 20th, Talent Retriever hosted a Pink Day event as a proud supporter of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
The team event began with a Dress In Pink contest, where team members arrived to work, in office and virtually, decked head-to-toe in all shades of the color. Later the team of self-proclaimed ‘Retrievers’ gathered, this time taking to the campus grounds, creating a sea of pink for the mile long Talent Retriever Breast Cancer Walk. Virtual teammates didn’t miss a beat, bringing the lovely color outside to their home locations too.
The day’s festivities ultimately came with the goal of raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation HOPE Kit Fund. HOPE kits are tangible gifts of hope for women undergoing breast cancer treatment. They are meant to provide encouragement and comfort consisting of items like fuzzy socks, lotions, teas, tumblers, journals, jewelry, and educational resources. Every $50 donated supplies one gift to a patient. Talent Retriever did a match on donations made by individual employees. The team is honored to have contributed 14 HOPE kits to this important cause this year!
