TR March Clothing Drive

In honor of Women’s History Month, Talent Retriever hosted a Clothing Drive as a proud supporter of YWCA NH’s newly opened Brook Street Women’s Shelter.

YWCA NH has been serving the Manchester, NH community since 1920 and has a simple, but profound mission, “to empower women through peace, justice, equity and freedom for all”. The Brook Street Women’s Shelter opened in February 2023, with 16 beds available right away. The shelter is an invaluable resource for women experiencing chronic homelessness, and fills the need for bed space that is lacking in the community. Ultimately, this program will provide a safe space to live while engaging in case management and trauma-informed programing targeted at addressing the issues causing chronic homeless and providing tools to break the cycle.

The team in North Andover, MA headquartered the operations with tremendous support from remote team members across the globe generously mailing in clothing items to make the trip from MA to NH. The goal of the drive was specific, to fill a basic need the shelter was lacking, clothing, with hope of donating 100 pieces collectively. The team successfully gathered 129 articles of clothing ranging from undergarments, to shirts, jackets, pants, and shoes.

We are proud to have hosted this clothing drive in honor of Women’s History Month.
