Dave Barbato

Dave co-founded Talent Retriever in 2004, with a vision to provide a new experience for clients and employees. He has succeeded in transforming outdated recruitment concepts, resulting in a highly effective and cost-efficient approach to solving each client’s talent acquisition challenges. Dave started his career in recruitment after graduating from UMass Amherst in 1994 and quickly moved to New York City. Soon after returning to Boston he realized change was needed in the recruiting world.

Outside of Talent Retriever, Dave has led the board of directors for Housing Families for almost a decade. HFI (www.housingfamilies.org) is based in Greater Boston and they are working to solve family homelessness in Massachusetts. Dave is also on the Board of Governors of the UMass Club in Boston.

When not working, he enjoys distance running, salt water fishing and is an avid skier along with his daughters—you can find them in the woods of Sugarbush most weekends.
